Apa itu misi dan visi?
Saya pernah membaca buku The Path, yang ditulis Laurie Beth Jones. Buku ini menuliskan tentang membuat penyataan misi kita dalam kehidupan kerja maupun pribadi
Buku ini memberikan definisi secara deskriptif apa itu misi dan visi dengan sambil melihat contoh-contoh yang ada dalam Firman Tuhan.
Di bagian pendahuluan tertulis
”…Jesus (The powerful and influential leaders of all time) articulated His mission statement in single sentence two thousands years ago “I came that they might have life, and have it more abundantly”. Every activity that he undertook- whether turning water into wine, playing with childern, holding seminars bythe sea or challenging the current religioussystem— was aresult of His mission. That statement covered not only His work life, but also His personal Life. ….. when the woman caught in adultery was brought before Him, he refuse to judge her, and saying again, “My mission is not to condemn, but to give life.” Knowing His mission help Him decide how to act, what to do, and even what to say when challenging situations rose…”
Jadi, Misi membantu untuk memutuskan bagaimana untuk bertindak, melakukan sesuatu dan bahkan apa yang harus dikatakan ketika menghadapi sesuatu yang menantang.

kemudian apa itu visi..
” While a mission statement is centered around the process of what you need to be doing, avision statement is the end result of what you will have done. It is a picture of how the landscape will look after you’ve been through it. It is your ” ideal”
Your vision statement is the force that will sustain you when your mission statement seems too heavy to endure, enforce, or engage. All significant changes and in vention began with a vision first

The Bible it self begins with a compelling vision of Garden of Eden. It ends with the hope and possibility of our having heaven once again on earth, providing we make the necessary changes (it also includes a fiery description of what could happen if we don’t change”
Jadi visi adalah sesuatu yang ideal yang akan terjadi jika kita berhasil melakukan misi kita. Visi lah yang akan menopang kita saat kita merasa sulit melakukan misi kita.
”.. When you are writing out your mission statement, think about a world where, ” With God, anything is possible.”..”
Jadi itu secara singkat apa itu arti dari misi dan visi.
Sebenarnya masih banyak lagi yang dijelaskan, jadi jelasnya baca bukunya saja ya. :)
